A stock photo, a ton of illustration collected over the years. Some awesome blending techniques thanks to the gradient capacities of illustrator and area mesh gradients. Ultimately, a fun piece to work with.
My god it's gorgeous. I mean it really captures that slick media essence. It has some of those grunge elements but even the grunge is so clear and defined. The mixed elements all seem to be co-opted so that they no longer serve themselves but function as parts of something that seems almost antithetical to thier original purpose.

nice work with a picture and vectrors, maybe i would rather add more vectors of imposant weight behind her cos of her KINGLY sitting on her throne ... but just my opinion ... still a nice picture and i would for SURELY remove the shadow from behind the picture .. there are many ways to make the picture stand out than just shadowing it...
